State of Origin

Tomorrow on wednesday the 17th of June there is a game called state of Origin. It where two states challenge in rugby league. The two states are New Self Wales and Queensland. Those two states are from Australia. Me and my family sports Queensland. Everyone always sports a team.

Rugby league is an Australian national sport. Since 2006 Queensland has won all of the series. The sport Rugby league was first played was in 1908. The last state of Origin was three weeks ago. New self wales had won 19 times in a row. State of Origin is sponsored by holden.

Nrl Highlights

Last night was Roosters vs Knights. The points was 29-12. In the first half Knights were winning by 12-6. Sonny Bill Williams go hit by Knights!!!!!!. The Roosters got one try in the first half and the nights had 2 try and there both got their conversion over.

On the second half Roosters got 4 tries and the Knights got 0 trys. The Roosters got three conversions over but missed one conversion. Roosters got 1 field goal in but knight did not tempted to go for a field goal. None of the teams got any penalty goals.

The other game was Rabbitohs vs West Tigers. Chris McQueen, Ben Te’o and Greg Inglis are probably out of the Rabbitohs for the whole season. The Rabbitohs got five tries and the West Tigers got two tries. The Rabbitohs got all their conversions over and Tigers got one and missed one. The score was 33-10 (Self Sydney Rabbitohs WON)

The third game was Canterbury Bulldogs vs Parramatta Eels. Canterbury Bulldogs had only two tries and and Parramatta Eels got 5 tries. The the Bulldogs got all of their conversions over but Parramatta Eels only got one conversion over and miss four conversions. Parramatta Eels got one field goal. the score was 12-22 (Parramatta Eels WON)

Swimming is very important

Swimming is very important because hepes off kids in New Zealand is drowning. We need to learn how to swim in case we will be in a situation where we might drown. New Zealand has one of the worse swimming ratio in the world.

This week class 2 have been going down to the pools and having some lissen. In our lesson we have two groups and they are boys and girls. We have two intercessors that gives us lessons.

People say “swimming is for safety” but I think its for fun asswael.

Fia Fia Reflection

Last night we had Fia Fia night. I was really excited for Fia Fia but then when the day came I had butterflies in my tummy. For the samoan boys costume was a lavalava and no T-shirt. In our dance we have the samoan haka and a Azonto dance.

Before it all started I was going around to all to stores look for something to buy. I was taking heaps of photos with people. When I was our turn to go on the stage I sow helps of people. Once I got on the stage I couldn't see anyone it was just pitch black

Movie in the park

On Friday the 28th of March there was a movie night. The movie started at eight thirty. The movie was held at the Pt England reserve in central Auckland, Glen Innes. The movie was called ‘Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs 2’.

The movie was for the locals and it was free for everyone. The movie was entertaining and funny. It was for people to hang out and have fun and heaps of families were there. Last month there was a movie and it was called ‘Despicable Me’.

There were heaps of people there and most of them were students, families, neighbors, friends and Point England Students. There was an activity where you have to hit your enemy off their own platform. It was heaps of fun

Cyclone Lusi

1. What is a cyclone? Cyclones are a dangerous kind of storm which should be avoided. Clouds darken, rough winds, heavy rain and all the things that will turn your day to a disaster. It can cause severe damage to buildings, no where is safe if you get caught in the cyclone . This cyclone was named Lusi, every cyclone has a name.

2. What would happen during a cyclone? Houses flying high towards the center of the cyclone is the most brutal part that you would ever hit. Things will collapse together and it will get messy after the storm has past. All that was once your house will now turn into over NINE THOUSAND!!! pieces.

3. During the weekend the weather was extreme. Trees were falling and there was heaps of flying objects. There was severe winds hitting the shore of the beaches. We got advised to stay in doors and keep all light objects indoors. There was serious rain pouring down. It wasn't as severe as I thought it was going to be.

4. To prepare you’ll need to bring all objects inside and you should also store food and water. You’ll also need to bring pets indoors to keep them safe and dry. You should paper candle or a torch in case to power line goes down. You can also store a wireless radio and some bottles of water. Watch out for any flying objects and stay indoors at all times.

Fia Fia

Walking through the breeze hearing the loud pounding music going through my ears. The group that i’m in this year is the senior Samoan group. I also wanted to be in the Niuean group to represent my grandpa's side. There are many groups in Fia fia such as the Tongan group, Asian group, Fijian group, Kapa haka group, Cook Island group, and also the Hip hop group and precisely that and many more.

The dance moves that the boys in my group are doing is what you call the fi cau pak’e Its known as the slap dance. Whenever I do the dance it makes my hands goes extremely red and sore. On the day we have to dance in a lavalava and no tops on.

The samoan Teachers are Jlee's mum and also Ms Savaiinaea. The samoan group practice in class 13 or sometimes in the hool. Fia Fia is the 9th of April I can't wait till Fia Fia arves.

Assembly

In assembly there was a lot of exciting stuff going on. There was some hip hop dancing and it was very strange of them to dance at Mount Wellington. The video was great and then all of a sultan the hip hop dancers came running in to the hall. The hip hop dancers names were Neo, Levi, Hope, Mele, Gloria and Tyla .Their dance moves was pretty original.

Then four samoan ladies came out and started to dance. When they finish Gloria asked some questions. One of it was can you show us some moves and then she showed an example and she asked if anyone wanted to try. “I’d like to!” Mr Jacobson yield happily. When he was up on the stage I thought he couldn't do it but then did it. I was a bit surprised that he could do it.
